Why I love my job

I’ve been helping students tackle standardized tests and navigate college admissions for over 20 years — and I still light up every time a student says, “I finally get it.”

I don’t love this job because of test scores (though I’m proud of those). I love it because I get to be part of a student’s moment — that shift when they realize they’re capable of more than they thought. That moment when someone who thought they “weren’t a great writer” uncovers a personal story worth sharing. Or when a student who's been told they need to "aim lower" starts getting acceptance letters from schools they thought were out of reach.

This isn’t a one-size-fits-all service. I’ve worked with over 4,000 students across the globe — from the U.S. to Asia to the Middle East — across all academic levels, backgrounds, and learning styles. Whether you're a top scorer looking for an edge or a student who feels stuck and overwhelmed, I meet you where you are.

Early in my career, I was named the youngest Master Trainer in Princeton Review history, and quickly became known as one of the most effective standardized test prep instructors in the world — bar none. I’ve trained other instructors, built curriculum, and helped students achieve scores and admits they didn’t think were possible.

But I didn’t stop there. My coaching style combines deep technical knowledge with a strong emphasis on confidence, mindset, and clarity. I’ve worked in high-pressure environments — from founding and scaling a business to running a world-class kitchen to coaching competitive athletes — and I bring that same calm, focused energy into every session.

Whether it’s unlocking a powerful essay, breaking down the SAT into something manageable, or creating a college list that actually fits who you are, I help students feel seen, understood, and ready.

I also believe that what we do together isn’t just about the next test or the next school — it’s about developing skills that carry forward: self-awareness, clear thinking, and the ability to advocate for yourself in any room.

That’s why I love my job. And if you’re ready to do the work, I’d love to help you discover what you’re capable of.
